Times Begins National Edition

In a move designed to increase circulation and provide more timely news for readers in Northern California, New York and Washington, the Los Angeles Times launched a new national edition Monday.
The daily edition, which costs 50 cents, includes four sections devoted to news, business, sports and features. The Sunday edition, which costs $2, will offer similar coverage, along with the newspaper’s Calendar, Book Review, Opinion, Travel and Life & Style sections and the Los Angeles Times Magazine.
