NEWPORT BEACH
Play in the snow, sing carols and watch Santa Claus light a Christmas tree Friday at the Balboa Island Snow Extravaganza. The snow will fall in front of the Balboa Island fire station at 4 p.m. At 5:15 p.m. a choir will begin performing on the street, and Santa will fire up the island’s Christmas tree at 5:30 p.m. in front of the fire station.
