Lompoc 35, Thousand Oaks 20--Anthony Perkins ran for two touchdowns, caught a scoring pass and passed for another to lead Lompoc at Thousand Oaks.
Perkins ran for 142 yards in 13 carries, completed his only pass for 44 yards and caught two passes for 23 yards. He kicked three extra points and caught a conversion pass.
Joey Casillas ran for 121 yards and a touchdown for the Lancers (5-5-1), who were without star running back Wes Cobos for most of the game.
Cobos, still suffering from an ankle sprain suffered last week, entered the game late in the fourth quarter and netted six yards in two carries.
Thousand Oaks claimed its only lead, 7-0, in the first quarter on a 30-yard run by Casillas.
Then Perkins took over as the Braves scored 21 consecutive points. Thousand Oaks pulled to within 21-14 early in the second half on Gabe Portilla’s 37-yard pass to Eric Schmidt.
