Alliance Imaging Buys Diagnostic Firm

Alliance Imaging Inc. has completed its $13.6-million purchase of American Shared Hospital Services’ medical diagnostic imaging business.
Anaheim-based Alliance, which offers diagnostic-imaging services to hospitals and other health-care providers, said American Shared’s stockholders approved the sale last week at a special meeting. Alliance will pay San Francisco-based Shared about $13.6 million in cash and assume about $21 million in debt.
