Long Beach Poly Earns Top Seeding
Long Beach Poly, the defending champion, is the top-seeded team in the Southern Section Division I playoffs. The Jackrabbits (10-0) play Huntington Beach (6-3-1) in a first-round game Friday.
Second-seeded Los Alamitos (10-0) plays Lakewood (5-5), No. 3 Santa Ana Mater Dei (9-1) plays Fountain Valley (7-3) and No. 4 Bishop Amat (9-0-1) plays host to Redlands (7-3), which earned a berth after Rialto Eisenhower forfeited all of its victories for using an ineligible player.

Prep football--Palos Verdes Peninsula is the defending Division II Southern Section champion. Chino Hills, which will play in this year’s Division II playoffs, is the defending Division IV champion. The information was incorrect Monday.
Defending champion Chino (10-0) is the top-seeded team in Division II and Newhall Hart (8-2) is No. 1 in Division III.
