Monroe 28, North Hollywood 8--Monroe (4-6, 2-5) celebrated homecoming with its second consecutive victory after opening conference play with five consecutive losses.

Andrew Newchurch rushed for 130 yards, including a 31-yard touchdown run on the first series for Monroe. Diego Barba of Monroe completed eight of 14 passes for 159 yards and two second-half touchdowns.

Matthew Hicks of North Hollywood (3-7, 3-4) rushed for 203 yards and scored the Huskies’ only touchdown. North Hollywood netted only 167 yards rushing, largely because quarterback Billydee Payne was sacked so often. Payne completed four of 16 passes for 78 yards.
