Santa Paula 36, Malibu 8--Chad Metelak completed 14 of 25 passes for 312 yards and four touchdowns to lead Santa Paula at home.
Three of Metelak’s scoring passes went to Michael Kolbeck, who had four receptions for 187 yards.
With Santa Paula (4-6, 2-2) leading, 7-0, midway through the second quarter, Kolbeck intercepted a pass in the end zone. Three plays later, Metelak connected with Kolbeck on a 75-yard touchdown pass play.
Santa Paula’s Morgan Montoya returned an interception 36 yards for a touchdown midway through the fourth quarter to make the score 36-0.
Malibu (3-7, 0-4) scored in the fourth quarter on a 31-yard touchdown run by center Louis Pieper on a fumblerooski play.
