PLACENTIA
After 23 years overseeing Placentia’s recreation and human services programs, Jim Soto has retired. Steve Pischel, an 11 1/2-year city employee, will take over the post.
Pischel credited Soto, 63, a Placentia resident, with making a “big difference in people’s lives, especially to the youth of the community. He’s been a real leader.â€
Soto started his career with the city in July 1975, after working in similar positions in Lancaster and Riverside.
