Wisconsin Quarterback Arrested

Mike Samuel, the quarterback for No. 8 Wisconsin, and his brother were cited by police for battery after a fracas outside a Madison, Wis., tavern.
A Wisconsin spokesman said Coach Barry Alvarez was conducting his own investigation, and early indications were that Mike Samuel may have acted mostly as a peacemaker.

Chris Kasteler threw two touchdown passes during a 28-point third quarter late Saturday night as San Jose State pulled away from Hawaii, 45-17, at Honolulu.
The loss extended the Rainbows’ longest current losing streak in the nation to 15.
