In the Oct. 31 sports section, there was an item that San Diego Charger cornerback Terrance Shaw was fined $10,000 for a recent NFL infraction.
Why hasn’t it occurred to the league that fining wealthy athletes small amounts of money will not make a point?
Want to see an end to these kinds of infractions? Try a fine of $300,000 or even $500,000. Make it hurt.
