DIVISION I

The list of unbeaten teams dropped from seven to five, with losses by No. 7 Fontana A.B. Miller to No. 10 Fontana, and No. 9 Sherman Oaks Notre Dame to No. 3 La Puente Bishop Amat in a Del Rey League opener. . . . Huntington Beach’s victory over Marina makes the Oilers one of the favorites for a wild-card playoff berth.

No. 8 Laguna Hills and Aliso Niguel will decide the Pacific Coast League championship on Thursday.

DIVISION IX

No. 2 La Verne Bonita and No. 3 San Dimas each lost for the first time, but the winner of their showdown this week will still likely win the Valle Vista League. Brea Olinda, ranked No. 4, could jump to second this week. . . . Top-ranked La Mirada meets No. 6 Lakewood Mayfair this week for the Suburban League championship, and Fullerton can clinch a tie for the Freeway League championship when it meets Troy.

FREEWAY
