Hospice to Begin Annual Fund-Raising
Camarillo Hospice on Monday will launch its 13th annual Tree of Life campaign--a drive to raise money for free aid to terminally ill people and their families.
Each gift of $15 or more will be represented by a light on a tree in Constitution Park near Camarillo City Hall. The tree will be lighted at 6:30 p.m. Dec. 4.
Donations will be accepted through Jan. 8.
The nonprofit hospice uses professionally trained volunteers to provide care for the terminally ill, allowing them to remain at home with family members.
It serves an average of 35 patients and 100 family members each month, said hospice President Gerry Olsen. In addition, it offers bereavement support groups and grief counseling.
Donations may be sent to Camarillo Hospice, 2309 Antonio Ave., Camarillo 93010-1410.
