Infant Born After Collision Still Critical

The baby of a pregnant woman fatally injured in a traffic collision remained in critical condition Wednesday, authorities said.
Doctors at Hoag Memorial Hospital Presbyterian in Newport Beach delivered the baby boy in an emergency Caesarean section, hospital spokesman Chris Premer said. The mother, Lynth Lee, 24, of Santa Ana, died at the hospital.
Her husband, Mao Siv Chea, 26, also of Santa Ana, was injured in the accident. He was treated at Western Medical Center-Santa Ana and released Wednesday, officials said.
Chea was able to see the baby at Hoag, Premer said.
Police said Lee and Chea were in a Toyota Corolla that apparently collided with a Chevrolet Suburban in Newport Beach on Tuesday morning.
