A high school senior shot and killed another student, apparently because the two had argued about a girl, police said. The shooting occurred about 2 p.m. in a parking lot at Lincoln County High School in Fayetteville. Jacob Davis, 18, confronted Robert “Nick” Creson, 18, and fired three times, police said. Creson died about 15 minutes after being brought to Lincoln Regional Hospital, spokesman John Fitzsimmons said. Davis was charged with first-degree murder and reckless endangerment.
