Rep. Cox Faces 5 Opponents for 47th District Seat

Rep. Christopher Cox (R-Newport Beach) is running unopposed within his party in the June primary as are candidates from other parties. Cox, seeking his sixth term in Congress, is considered unbeatable in the district.
Other candidates in the district, which runs from Newport Beach north to Villa Park and south to Mission Viejo and Laguna Beach, are: Democrat Christina Avalos, a family counselor; Libertarian Victor A. Wagner Jr., a software consultant; Natural Law candidate Paul Fisher, a nutrition consultant, and Reform Party candidate Raymond O. Mills, a taxi driver.
