Green Party candidates for governor and lieutenant governor will hold a public forum tonight at a West Hollywood bookstore.
Gubernatorial candidate Dan Hamburg and Sara Amir, candidate for lieutenant governor, will give short speeches and then answer questions from the audience, said Amir’s campaign manager, Lynne Serpe.
Hamburg, 49, is a former Democratic congressman from Mendocino County and is now executive director of VOTE Action Committee, a group dedicated to challenging the two-party political system.
Amir, 48, is a Los Angeles resident and a scientist for the state Department of Toxic Substances Control and a longtime political and social activist.
The candidates will discuss education, immigration, the environment and health care, among other issues, Serpe said.
The forum will be held at Urban Inversion, 8246 Santa Monica Blvd.
Information: (310) 820-3666.
