The U.S. Men’s National Water Polo Team defeated Australia, 5-4, at Pepperdine University. Jeremy Laster (San Clemente High, Stanford) scored twice and Craig Watson (UC Irvine) and Brad Schumacher (Pacific) each added a goal for the U.S. team. The final game of the series will be played today at 3 at Corona Del Mar High School.
Sweden defeated Olympic bronze medalist Finland, 1-0, in the first game of the World Hockey Championships finals at Zurich, Switzerland.
