American Legion Plans Holiday Events

The Moorpark American Legion Post 502 will be hosting Memorial Day celebrations honoring the country’s veterans and soldiers killed in action.
Beginning at 8 a.m. May 25 at Los Angeles and Moorpark avenues, members will replace the American and POW/MIA flags that now fly at the site.
The ceremony will be followed by another larger one at 10 a.m. at Veteran’s Memorial Grove in the as-yet-unfinished Poindexter Park on Poindexter Avenue. That event will include ceremonies and speeches in memory of the men and women who have given their lives in the defense of the country.
