Sunstone Buys Days Hotel in Santa Clara

Sunstone Hotel Investors Inc. said it bought the Days Hotel in Santa Clara from MOA-CS Corp. for about $20 million.
San Clemente-based Sunstone said the 168-room property consists of three four-story buildings with meeting rooms, two restaurants, a fitness center, swimming pool and spa.
The real estate investment trust said it plans an extensive renovation and may change it to another brand. Days Hotel represents Sunstone’s 10th acquisition this year.
