Major Tour Companies & Trip Packagers

Using a tour company or vacation packager can save you time, money and hassles. The organizations below, members of the United States Tour Operators Association (USTOA), arrange both group and independent tours, and put together trip packages that may include air fare, hotels and other services for one price.

Some advantages of using a tour operator/packager:

* You can often save substantially on what you would pay if you arranged the same trip yourself.

* You know exactly what your vacation will cost before you leave.

* You have security. USTOA member companies listed here must have been under the same management for at least three years, must serve a minimum 3,000 passengers per year and must prove financial responsibility (bank references plus $1 million in posted security, such as a certificate of deposit, to reimburse customers in case their businesses fail).

* An escorted tour can be a less intimidating way to see countries where you don’t know the language or the customs.
