Irvine Valley 1, Orange Coast 0--Jennifer Stout hit a two-out RBI single in the bottom of the first for Irvine Valley. Stout also made a game-saving catch in the top of the seventh. Irvine Valley is 5-13, 3-8. Orange Coast is 8-14, 0-11.

Santa Ana 4, Golden West 0--Santa Ana scored three runs on a fielder’s choice and a wild pitch in the third inning. Martha Carmona scored first when she beat the throw to home on a ground ball. Then Debbie Arostigue and Yesenia Paniagua scored on a wild pitch by Golden West’s Amy McManus.

Ericka Pilkington pitched a four-hitter for the Dons (14-12, 8-4).

Golden West is 15-8, 7-5.

In nonconference baseball:

Saddleback 5, Lower Columbia (Wash.) 4--Lars Birkeland hit the game-winning single in the bottom of the 10th inning. He was four for five, including a home run in the second inning, for host Saddleback (19-7). Kirk Bolling had three hits for the Gauchos.

In Orange Empire Conference men’s volleyball:

Irvine Valley 3, Mt. San Antonio 1--Don Chen and Davis Ransom each had 17 kills and Mark Ramirez had 13 for Irvine Valley (6-6), which won, 17-16, 15-5, 13-15, 15-6.

In nonconference men’s volleyball:

Golden West 3, Pasadena City 0--Scott Lane and Casey Jennings each had seven kills for the host Rustlers (11-1 in the Orange Empire Conference) as they defeated the Lancers (10-2 in the South Coast Conference), 15-3, 15-4, 15-1.

Orange Coast 3, Long Beach 0--Nicolas Dominik led the Pirates in kills with six as Orange Coast defeated the Vikings, 15-3, 15-6, 15-9. Ryan Hiskey had 28 assists for the Pirates (15-1, 11-1 in the OEC), and Scott Smyser led Long Beach (0-12) with 30 assists.
