Brother of ‘Megan’s Law’ Killer Faces Sex Charges

NEW BRUNSWICK, N.J. — The brother of a man whose rape and murder of a child led to “Megan’s Law” was arraigned in a New Jersey court Thursday on charges he sexually assaulted two girls.
Paul Timmendequas pleaded not guilty to assaulting a 10-year-old and a 15-year-old. His brother, Jesse Timmendequas, 37, is on death row in New Jersey for raping and murdering 7-year-old Megan Kanka in 1994. The crime prompted the first law to notify residents when convicted sex offenders move nearby.
