Bergen Gets Tenet Contract

ORANGE — Bergen Brunswig Corp. received a four-year contract from Tenet Healthcare Corp. that is expected to generate revenue of $400 million.
Orange-based Bergen, which distributes drugs and provides management programs, said the contract extends its current vendor relationship with Tenet Healthcare into 2000.
Under the contract, Tenet will use Bergen Brunswig’s drug information program to track the use of pharmaceuticals, as well as consulting, reimbursement and outsourcing services designed to reduce costs in ambulatory care pharmacies.
