Deadly Shooting at Park Spurs Meeting on Safety
- Share via
Police will hold a meeting tonight to discuss safety in the Blair Hills area after a fatal shooting March 15 frightened residents in the normally quiet neighborhood.
A detective from the Culver City Police Department homicide bureau will talk about the investigation into the death of Nichol Watson, 28, who was killed after an afternoon basketball game in Blair Hills Park, said police spokesman Lt. Ray Scheu.
The meeting is also to “reassure people they don’t have a burgeoning crime problem up there,” Scheu said. “This shooting was more of an anomaly than anything else.”
The meeting will be held at 7 p.m. in the Ohr Eliyahu Academy auditorium, 5950 Stoneview Drive.
