Engesser Cleared to Run for Anteaters Today

Christie Engesser has been cleared to compete for UC Irvine’s track team, school officials said Friday.
Engesser, a standout distance runner from Oregon, was a finalist in the 1,500 meters at the Pac-10 championships last season. She will compete for the Anteaters today in a meet against UCLA, Air Force and California at UCLA.
A graduate of Ocean View High, Engesser was second in the state in the 800 meters as a junior and eighth as a senior.
