A public meeting will be held Sunday to discuss how Santa Monica should use a $6-million surplus in its $138-million budget.
Panelists leading the discussion will include members of Santa Monica’s planning, recreation and parks commissions, as well as representatives from the city’s library, school and social service systems, organizers said.
The event was planned by the newly formed Santa Monica Civic Forum, a group that promotes public debate on city issues, according to Vice Chairwoman Irene Zivi.
The meeting will begin at 3 p.m. at Mt. Olive Lutheran Church, 1343 Ocean Park Blvd. For more information call Irene Zivi at (310) 452-3619.
