SUNLAND — A 35-year-old man was found injured in the Tujunga Wash on Sunday morning, possibly after spending two days in the concrete channel, authorities said.
A hiker called a fire station about 9:25 a.m. and reported a man in the wash near Foothill Place and Foothill Boulevard, said Jim Wells, a Los Angeles Fire Department spokesman.
Authorities did not identify the man but said he may be homeless. He had bruises on his head and was suffering from exposure.
Firefighters rescued the man and he was flown by helicopter to Providence Holy Cross Medical Center in serious condition, though his injuries were not considered life-threatening, Wells said.
