Northridge Football Set to Start Practice

About 75 players are expected Monday at Cal State Northridge’s first spring practice under first-year Coach Ron Ponciano.
The Matadors will practice through April 2, when they’ll hold the last of three intrasquad scrimmages. The others are scheduled for Saturday and March 28.
A free clinic for baseball and softball coaches will be held March 22, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m., at The Baseball Academy in Agoura.
Among the featured speakers will be Alan Jaeger, a mental training and pitching coach, and Stacy Winsberg, a speed, strength and conditioning instructor.

The Airtel Plaza Hotel and Conference Center is the site of a sports card and memorabilia show beginning Friday and concluding next Sunday. Show hours are 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. on Friday; 10 a.m. to 7 p.m. on Saturday; 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Sunday. Information: 310-478-9818.
