With all due respect to Calendar Editor Wendy Miller (“Cats--and Owners--in a Class of Their Own,” March 5) and her libelous, scurrilous, scandalous and inflammatory comment “Cat owners, on the other hand, trade in anonymity and stealth, much like their pets . . . .”
There is no such thing as a cat owner. There are people who care for cats but, unlike dogs, cats can be neither owned nor dominated.
If one craves affection, own a dog. If one savors insouciance, independence and devotion, get attached to a cat.
You will never see six cats pulling a sled.
