Re “Flynn and Schillo Align to Back Farmland Initiative,” March 3.
In this climate of general mistrust of our public officials--their personal agendas versus ours--it is extremely gratifying to see Supervisors John K. Flynn and Frank Schillo respond to the vox populi.
We the people have long been on the alert--calling and attending endless meetings, writing letters, making phone calls--trying to be heard. It has seemed the Board of Supervisors and the numerous study groups formed prefer to submit the issues to long and tedious procedures, ignoring the local outbursts of dissent.
Therefore, to see two members of the Board of Supervisors respond to the overwhelming sentiment speaks volumes.
We applaud them and would like them to know of our gratitude. They have shown great courage in the face of bureaucracy.
