Parris Makes Pitch for Paraclete, 12-2

Matt Parris pitched a two-hitter with seven strikeouts and Paraclete High defeated Boron, 12-2, in a nonleague baseball game Wednesday at Paraclete.
Dave Brown had two doubles and three runs batted in for the Spirits (4-0), and his brother, Jason Brown, had two singles.
Buena Park 5, Valencia 3--Brian Otis had two hits, a stolen base and scored twice for Valencia (2-2) in the North Orange County tournament at Buena Park.
St. Joseph’s 9, Oxnard 1--Matt Adams had two hits but the Yellowjackets (1-1) lost at Oxnard.
GOLF
Flintridge Prep 197, St. Francis 208--Andy Brisbois shot a one-under-par 35 for the Rebels (8-0) on the No. 1 course at Brookside in Pasadena.
Riley Marshall shot a 37 for St. Francis (3-2).
Brentwood 200, Harvard-Westlake 208--Mike Brownstein shot a 38, two over par, for the Wolverines (1-3), who lost at Balboa Golf Course.
BOYS’ TENNIS
Royal 14, Oak Park 4--Anders Oding swept, 6-4, 6-1, 6-0, and the Nos. 1 and 2 doubles teams also swept for the Highlanders (2-1) in a victory at Oak Park.
Simi Valley 10, Camarillo 8--J.P Augustin beat Quoc Ly, 6-3, in the decisive set of a Marmonte League match at Simi Valley (4-1, 1-1).
BOYS’ VOLLEYBALL
Campbell Hall d. Valencia, 15-0, 15-8, 15-9--Larry Cole had 14 kills and Campbell Hall (1-1) won at Valencia.
Crescenta Valley d. South Pasadena, 15-9, 15-7, 7-15, 11-15, 15-7--Doug English had 17 kills and 10 digs, and Rahul Patel added 16 kills and six blocks for the Falcons (2-0) at South Pasadena.
BOYS’ SWIMMING
Westlake 104, Agoura 62--Jason Weber won the 100-yard backstroke in 53.58--.01 slower than he swam at the Southern Section finals last year--for the Warriors (1-0) in a Marmonte League meet at Agoura.
Westlake’s Dave Stelle won the 200 individual medley in 1:59.25 and the 100 breaststroke in 1:01.97.
