The Culver City Unified School District Board of Education has accepted the resignation of one principal and the retirement of three other administrators, officials said.
The resignation of El Rincon Elementary Principal Jerry Horkin and the retirements of Culver Park High Principal Anita Johnson, El Marino Elementary Principal Carmen Jarel and Culver City High Assistant Principal Joanne Lowe were announced by the board at its Monday meeting, said board President Barbara Honig.
In addition, the board terminated Special Projects Administrator Diane Wallace by declining to renew her contract.
All administrators will remain with the district until the end of the school year in June.
Both Honig and Supt. Laura Plasse cited the district’s offering of a “golden handshake” retirement incentive as one reason for the multiple departures.
Plasse said candidates for the positions will be interviewed in April and May, in hopes of filling the jobs by July.
