Regional Hospital Gets High National Rating

In an accreditation survey, Fountain Valley Regional Hospital and Medical Center ranked in the top 2% nationally among hospitals that provide acute care, hospital officials said this week.
The hospital received a perfect score of 100 in the survey by the Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations.
The hospital scored a perfect 100 in a voluntary, on-site survey by the joint commission.
A hospital spokesman said the medical center was the only acute care facility in Orange County to score 100.
Hospitals are rated on a scale of zero to 100 in 28 key areas. Accreditation lasts three years.
