Wal-Mart Stores Inc. nominated two Spanish-speaking executives to its board as the nation’s No. 1 retailer seeks to expand. The appointments of Telemundo Group Inc. President and CEO Roland Hernandez of Los Angeles and San Antonio-based attorney Jose Villarreal could lend credibility to Wal-Mart’s plans to expand its business globally and appeal to the diverse communities in the U.S. Telemundo is the second-largest Spanish-language TV network in the United States.
