Re “High Court Restricts Credit Union Membership,” Feb. 26:
It seems ridiculous to me that in this time of record bank profits banks are worried about “illegal” and “unfair” competition from the minuscule credit union industry.
I take exception to one statement in the above article, that “bank officials have fought . . . a battle that culminated in Wednesday’s resounding victory in the Supreme Court.” I would not call a 5-to-4 decision a “resounding” victory. It sounds more like a close call to me.
