GARDEN CITY, N.Y. — Adelphi University has hired a new president for less than one-third of the salary that led to the eviction of his predecessor and the school’s board of trustees.
The 102-year-old private liberal arts school said Monday it will pay $250,000 a year to Matthew Goldstein, currently president of Baruch College in New York City.
He succeeds Peter Diamandopoulos, whose salary and benefits totaled $837,000 a year.
