Last year I bought 300 shares of President Casinos Inc. at $2 per share, figuring that since the price was so low, I might make a buck or two. Unfortunately, the shares went south. I’ve since lost most of my investment. Ouch.

The Fool Responds: You made a common but incorrect assumption: that a low share price means a bargain. A share price by itself----high, low or in between--doesn’t mean much. The real question is what the company is worth, and to get an idea of that, you have to consider other information.
