Body Found in Silverado Canyon

SILVERADO CANYON — The body of an unidentified woman presumed to be a homicide victim was found off Silverado Canyon Road, authorities said Sunday.
Orange County Sheriff’s Lt. Lynn Nehring said a motorist called 911 after discovering the body just east of Santiago Canyon Road about 11 a.m. Sunday.
Investigators reported that the woman was “possibly Hispanic,” and in her early 20s, Nehring said.
“The death is being investigated as a homicide because of the circumstances around the crime scene,” Nehring said.
He said investigators would release further details following an autopsy on the victim.
