Improvements for Beechwood School Funded

Trustees of the Fullerton School District recently approved spending as much as $1.5 million to reopen Beechwood School.

The money will pay for architectural work, asbestos abatement and classroom and parking lot improvements. The school, at 780 Beechwood Ave., is scheduled to open in the fall of 1999. The district has yet to decide what kind of curriculum to offer and how many grades to include on the campus.

Parents soon will receive a survey asking them if they’d prefer a fundamental school or a traditional neighborhood campus.
