* Carpinteria-based MetaCreations Corp. said it expects to post a second-quarter loss of $10 million to $11 million, or 44 cents to 48 cents a share, including restructuring costs of about $4 million to $5 million. Analysts were expecting earnings of 2 cents a share. The company cited weakness in domestic retail channels and in Japan, and increased reserves for returns. Trading of its shares on Nasdaq was halted after the announcement.
