It turns out that Pierre Gauthier is headed back to Anaheim after all. Gauthier, often rumored to be the next Mighty Duck general manager, is expected to announce his resignation as general manager of the Ottawa Senators today.
Gauthier told the Ottawa Citizen newspaper he is moving his family to Anaheim, but will not replace Jack Ferreira as Duck general manager.
“No way. Not a chance,” said Gauthier, who served as Duck assistant general manager for 2 1/2 seasons before accepting the job as Ottawa general manager in December 1995.
