Police Seek 4 Men Who Robbed Barbara Sinatra
Police continued searching Friday for four men who robbed Frank Sinatra’s widow and three companions of an estimated $17,000 in cash and property as they walked in a residential section of Beverly Hills
Officers released few details about what they described as the brazen strong-arm robbery of Barbara Sinatra, whose husband died last month. They said the holdup occurred Tuesday in the 600 block of Doheny Road shortly after 8 p.m.
None of the four victims--including family friend and veteran producer-director George Schlatter and his wife, Jolene and Barbara Sinatra’s son, Robert Marx--were injured in the holdup.
Police said the four were apparently taking a stroll when they noticed a black late-model car, possibly a Honda, with dealer plates. Three of the men immediately got out of the car and approached them, asking a question. They then demanded the cash and property.
Kreins said the holdup appeared random and that the suspects did not know Sinatra’s identity.
One suspect was described as weighing 165 pounds and wearing a dark cap, black jacket and jeans. A second was described as weighing 180 pounds and wearing a T-shirt with the word “FUBU†on the front. A third reportedly weighed about 140 pounds, and was wearing a dark cap and dark clothing.
