Thomann Named to County Rights Panel
Police Chief Daryll Thomann has been selected to serve on the Orange County Human Relations Commission.
Thomann was appointed by Supervisor Todd Spitzer to represent the 3rd District.
The Human Relations Commission serves as an impartial third-party agency to deal with intergroup tensions and to foster mutual respect and understanding among all Orange County residents.
Of the 11 commissioners, six are appointed by county supervisors and five are selected by the League of Cities after nomination by their city councils.
Thomann, promoted to head of the city’s Police Department in 1996, started his law enforcement career with Placentia 30 years ago, working his way up the ranks.
