Shandy’s Fussy About Lemonade
As regards the recipe for shandy (“Thirst Quenchers,†May 20), my father (a respected Bedfordshire publican) is rolling in his grave. Shandy is made with English lemonade, a lemon-flavored soda (i.e., 7-Up)--not that nasty, over-sweet, with-bits-of-lemon-pulp-floating-in-it liquid that you Americans call lemonade.
