Graduation to Cap Extended School Year

Seniors who survived the longest school year in the state will receive their diplomas Friday, when a record 2,475 students graduate from six campuses of the Oxnard Union High School District.
As part of a state pilot program, the students had 195 days of instruction, 15 more than most students in California.
Adolfo Camarillo High School students will graduate at 2:30 p.m. and Rio Mesa High School ceremonies will begin at 4 p.m.
Channel Islands High School, Hueneme High School and Oxnard High School will begin their ceremonies at 2 p.m.
Commencement will begin at 10 a.m. at the Camarillo Airport for Frontier Continuation High School students.
The district Board of Trustees will also honor top students at its regular meeting Wednesday at the district board room on K Street.
