Harbor Village Will Host Pooch Parade
The first Pooch Parade by the Sea will be held Saturday at Ventura Harbor Village in Ventura Harbor.
The charity parade, sponsored by the Humane League of Ventura County, begins at 11 a.m. on the grass next to the village at 1559 Spinnaker Drive and will be followed by a pet fair.
The entry fee is $20 per team of one dog and one person. Registration begins at 10 a.m.
The first 300 registrants will receive a pooch parade T-shirt, bandanna and goody bag and be eligible for best dressed, best trick, best wag and best look-alike prizes.
The pet fair, which is free, will feature dog adoptions, demonstrations, exhibitions and vendors.
