$77.1-Million Budget Offered for 1998-99
City Manager Allan L. Roeder introduced a $77.1-million budget for 1998-99 this week that reduces spending by $3.3 million over last year, largely because of fewer capital improvement projects.
The spending plan includes salary increases for police, firefighters and municipal employees and city managers. The employees received the raises under previously negotiated contracts.
The City Council will review the budget in public workshops and then consider it for final approval June 15.
