Interpore Cross International: The Irvine company, which was created from the May merger of Interpore International and Cross Medical Products, reported a net loss of $4.3 million, or 31 cents a share, which included $3 million in merger-related expenses and a $1.5-million restructuring charge. Net income of $12,000 was recorded for the year-earlier period. Sales were up 4% to $7.3 million from $7 million. For the six months, the company reported a net loss of $3.4 million, or 24 cents share, contrasted with net income of $2.8 million for the first half of the prior year. Sales rose 1% to $14.7 million from $14.5 million. The 1997 period include results from the dental implant business, which was sold in May 1997.
