Boy, 6, Dies After Fall From 6th Floor Apartment

A boy about 6 years old was fatally injured Monday night when he fell from a sixth-floor downtown apartment to the ground, a Fire Department spokesman said.
The incident occurred shortly after 9 p.m. in the 300 block of South Alexandria Avenue, said Brian Humphrey of the Los Angeles Fire Department.
“He suffered massive total body trauma and was pulseless and non-breathing,” Humprhey said.
The boy, whose name was not immediately available, was pronounced dead at Childrens Hospital in Hollywood about 9:25 p.m., Humphrey said.
What caused the fall was unclear, Humphrey said.
