Florence Neiman Carisio, 78; Ventura Resident

Florence Neiman Carisio, a resident of Ventura for 27 years, died Saturday. She was 78.
Carisio was born Sept. 13, 1919, in Brookings, S.D., and was raised in eastern Colorado.
After living 12 years in eastern Oregon, Carisio moved to Southern California in 1947 and eventually settled in Ventura.
A retired grocery store checker, Carisio was an active member of the Montalvo and Loma Vista congregation of Jehovah’s Witnesses.
Survivors include a son, Rick A. Carisio of Ventura; a daughter, Renee Carisio-Faber of Florida; a stepson, Andrew Charles Carisio of Mariposa; four grandchildren; and two step-grandchildren.
Memorial services are scheduled for 6 p.m. Thursday at Jehovah’s Witnesses Kingdom Hall, 4885 Loma Vista Road, Ventura. Joseph P. Reardon Funeral Home in Ventura is in charge of arrangements.
